ACADEMIC PROJECT EXPERIENCE             

Airline Reservation System, Team Leader        2002

Designed and programmed an online airline reservation system that allows users to search and book  flights dynamically. In addition, registered users may request to receive notifications on special fares  based on their preferences. Technologies utilized: Java, JSP, JavaScript, and Oracle.

Distributed Software Development Tool, Team Leader      2002

Designed and developed a web-based system as part of a 14 member group. The software, developed for the Software Engineering Institute, manages distributed software development projects. The system includes an artifacts database, project definition / tracking, and messaging / notification.

Technologies incorporated: XML, XSLT, SVG, JSP, Java, and Oracle.

Database Management Project      2001

Designed and implemented a prototype database system for a hospital. The process involved ER diagramming, developing a physical and logical data model, and building forms utilizing Developer 2000.

Highway Engineering Software      1998

Developed an engineering application utilizing C++ to perform topographic cut/fill computations, as well as section plotting and analysis for highway design purposes. The software, intended as a class project, was acquired by a local construction firm.
